Normal Distribution
A common statistical distribution often visualized as a bell-shaped curve.
Leptokurtic
A form of kurtosis characterized by a distribution with a sharp peak and heavy tails.
Mesokurtic
A form of kurtosis that represents a normal distribution, characterized by an intermediate peak and tails.
Platykurtic
A form of kurtosis characterized by a distribution with a flat peak and light tails.
Kurtosis
A statistical measure describing the shape of a probability distribution's peaks and tails, relative to a normal distribution.
Z Score
A statistical measure used to determine how many standard deviations a raw score (x) is from the mean (x
T) of a dataset, calculated by the formula Z = (x – x
T)/SD.
