Bones connected by hyaline cartilage or fibrocartilage. Limited movement. Found in intervertebral joints and symphysis pubis.

Synovial Joints

Most joints fall into this category. Allows for free movement.

A type of bone cell that makes bone. Takes extra calcium from the blood to build bone matrix.

Osteoclasts

A type of bone cell that breaks down bone tissue and releases calcium into the blood.
