KPS 90-100 Functional Status

KPS 70-80 Functional Status

Self care, but unable to perform normal activity or working.

KPS 70-80 Ix Implication

Modified currature approach.

KPS 50-60 Functional Status

Needs ocassional assistance.

KPS 50-60 Ix Implication

Consider palliative modified.

KPS < 50 Functional Status

Disabled, needs considerable care.

KPS < 50 Ix Implication

Palliative only.

Functional status

The patient's ability to perform daily activities, classified from normal activity to disabled.

Ix Implication

The treatment approach recommended based on a patient's specific KPS score.

Minix / no symptoms

The symptom level associated with a KPS score of 90-100.

Normal activity (90-100)

The level of activity achievable by patients eligible for full curative treatment.

Modified currature approach

The treatment plan for patients in the 70-80 KPS range who can perform self care but cannot work.

Palliative only

The approach for patients with a KPS less than 50 who are disabled.

Ocassional assistance

The level of support needed by a patient with a KPS score of 50-60.

Considerable care

The requirement for patients scoring below 50 on the KPS scale.

Full curative treatment

The clinical approach for patients with the highest functional status (90-100).

Self care (70-80)

The functional level where a patient can care for themselves but is unable to sustain normal working activity.

Consider palliative modified

The treatment implication considered for patients with a functional status of 50-60.

Disabled status

The functional status characteristic of patients with a KPS score less than 50.
