Integumentary system
Forms the external body covering; Protects the body

Muscular system
Responsible for producing movements; maintains posture
Nervous system
Regulates body activities by detecting, interpreting and responding to changes
Endocrine system
Regulates body activities through hormones transported by the blood
Cardiovascular system
Pumps blood and transports oxygen, carbon dioxide, nutrients, hormones and waste through the body
Lymphatic system
Returns protein and fluid to blood; carries lipids from Gi tract to blood
Respiratory system
Transfers oxygen from inhaled air to blood & carbon dioxide from blood to exhaled air
Digestive system
Physical Ana chemical breakdown of food; absorbs nutrients; eliminates sold waste
Urinary system
Produces, stores, & eliminates urine; regulates volume & chemical composition of blood
Reproductive system
Gonads produce gametes that unite to form a new organism
