Electronic Health Record (EHR)
Aggregated data built up into databases, used for purposes such as research analysis and policy.
Electronic Health Record (EHR) System
A centralized database where many Health Information Systems (HIS) provide data, allowing individuals to access and query data.
Database Management System (DBMS)
Specialized software used to manage databases.
Database
A collection of data.
IT Components (Six)
The six essential elements of an IT system: hardware, software, database, network, procedure, and people.
Health Information Exchange (HIE)
A collaborative arrangement focused on sharing patient-related health information to prevent duplication of tests and procedures.
