Formal = Advertising for the role, online or through agencys
Informal = referal/dropping a resume

Steps taken to choose the best applicant

Modern Awards: Legally enforcable minimum t&c’s for specific industries
Enterprise Agreement: made specifically by the company
Other: contrats that follow the law but sit outside of other two

A) Induction
B) Mentoring
C) Specific Training Programs
What is induction? (Development HR)
Program for new workers teaching them about the way the business operates and the details of their role
What is mentoring? (Development HR)
Placing newer staff with higher experiences staff to help learn as they work together
What is Specific Training Programs? (Development HR)
Getting someone from inside (internal) or outside organisation (external) the business to focus on a particular skill the business wants to improve?

Non financial rewards provided to staff as a perk
Eg memberships or work life balance/flexibility
What does Seperation involve (ADMS)
Refers to employees leaving the business can be Voluntary and Involuntary
What is Voluntary seperation?
Employees choose to leave the business
eg retiring or resignation due to finding a new job
What is Involuntary seperation?
When employees are forced to leave
eg dismissal for not meeting expectations.
What is redundancy ?
When an employee is no longer needed at a business due to Financial issues or Operational Issues
What happens after a person is made redundant
Workers being made redundant need warning and recieve a payout weeks ahead (4-16)
