Nephrotic Syndrome
A kidney disorder causing heavy proteinuria, hypoalbuminemia, and edema due to glomerular damage.
Mild Cognitive Impairment (MCI)
A condition characterized by noticeable cognitive decline, but not severe enough to impair daily living activities.
Community-Acquired Pneumonia (CAP)
An infection of the lungs acquired outside of a hospital setting, often caused by Streptococcus pneumoniae.
Gastric Bezoar
A mass of indigestible material in the stomach, often caused by trichophagia, leading to gastric outlet obstruction.
Empyema
A collection of pus in the pleural cavity, usually resulting from pneumonia, requiring drainage along with antibiotics.
Cirrhosis
Scarring of the liver tissue that can lead to hypoalbuminemia and edema due to liver dysfunction.
Hemophilia A
A genetic disorder caused by a deficiency in clotting factor VIII, leading to increased bleeding risk.
Dementia
A term for a group of symptoms affecting memory, thinking, and social abilities severely enough to interfere with daily life.
Drug-Induced Vertigo
Dizziness caused by medications, often affecting balance but typically not resulting in severe structural damage.
Vestibular Neuritis
Inflammation of the vestibular nerve, often caused by a viral infection, resulting in vertigo and imbalance.
