How to reduce Carbon footprint?

Get a hint
Hint
  1. Uses renewable energy sources or nuclear energy instead of burning fossil fuels.
  2. Use more efficient process that use less energy, so less fossil fuels need to be burnt.
  3. Use such process that produce less waste as when waste decomposes it produces methane gas.

Reducing Carbon footprint

  1. Governments could tax companies or individuals based on the amount of greenhouse gases they emit, or put a cap on emissions of all greenhouse gases that companies make.
  2. Technology that captures CO2 produced by burning fossil fuels before its released into the atmosphere, then be stored deep underground in old oil wells -This is Carbon capture and storage

Economical impacts of reducing carbon footprints

Introducing taxes could reduce the economic growth of communities, which is particularly important for developing countries.

If not everyone is willing to make a change, other countries would not want to sacrifice their economic development if they think that others wont do the same.

How can individuals reduce their carbon footprint?

Cycling or walking instead of driving.

Using more energy efficient supplies.
