Universalizing Religion

A religion that seeks to appeal to anyone, actively trying to gain new members regardless of their cultural background.

Ethnic Religion

A religion tied to a specific ethnic group and region that doesn't actively seek new members.

Christianity

A universalizing religion based on the life and teachings of Jesus Christ- the Son of God and savior.

Islam

A universalizing, monotheistic religion based on the prophet Muhammad following the path of the Five Pillars of Islam.

Buddhism

A universalizing religion focused on the story of Siddhartha Guatama and the Eightfold Path of achieving enlightenment.

Sikhism

A universalizing religion emphasizing monotheism, equality of people, and devotion to God.

Hinduism

An ethnic religion with no single founder and is closely tied with Indian culture.

Judaism

An ethnic religion that believes in monotheism and maintains a religious connection between God and the Jewish.

Holy Site

A geographical location with spiritual significance to a religion, typically representing connection to the divine.

Monotheism

The belief of one, single deity.

Polytheism

The belief of multiple deities.

Atheism

The lack of belief in the existence of deities.
