Wireless Microphone

Transmitter

Lavalier / Laumic

A small microphone clipped to the persons clothing, usally near the chest

Tripod head

The top portion of the tripod that allows the camera to tilt and/or pan

Soft box

A covering placed around a light that diffuses it, creating softer and more even lighting

Green screen / Chroma Key

A colored background that can be digitally removed and replaced with another image or video

B-roll

Supplemental footage shown while someone is speaking or to visually support a story

The primary footage that carries the story, such as the anchor, reporter, or interviewer
