What is macroshock?
High-value arm-to-arm current that eventually passes through the heart - may cause ventrical fibrillation
What is microshock?
Low-value current that passes directly though the heart via in-dwelling needle or catheter
What is the safe macroshock leakage current?
5 mA
What is safe microshock leakage current?

What should we continually monitor to reduce chance of microshock?
Ground wire continuity (LIM)
