The 4-component model of ethical decision-making involves: Moral Awareness, Moral Judgement, Moral Intent, and Ethical Behavior. Moral awareness is when an authority recognizes that a moral issue exists in a situation. Moral judgement is when an authority can identify the “right” course of action. Moral intent is the extent to which the authority is committed to the moral course of action, and the ethical behavior is following through with the decision that you have made.
