Eosinophils (Granulocytes)
(2-4%) pink orange granules, bilobed nucleus
basophils (granulocytes)
<1% abundant, dark violet granules, large U to S-shaped nucleus is hidden in the purple granules
Neutrophils (granulocytes)
(60-70%) multi-lobed nucleus 4-6 nucleus strung together in chain with fine red to violet granules in the cytoplasm: MOST ABUNDANT
Lymphocytes (Agranules)
(25-33%) smallest WBC with a round, uniform dark nucleus with a small amount of light blue cytoplasm (varies)
Monocytes (agranules)
(3-8%) kidney-shaped nucleus with light blue cytoplasm. LARGEST WBC with abundant cytoplasm.
