Emergency where abdominal organs protrude through the wound opening.
DVT (Deep Vein Thrombosis) Prevention
Includes leg movement, exercises, and Sequential Compression Devices (SCDs).
Palliative Surgery
Surgery aimed at relief of symptoms without providing a cure.
Anticholinergics
Medications used preoperatively to reduce salivary and respiratory secretions.
Blood Management - Autologous Transfusion
Patient donates and receives their own blood during surgery.
