raise, irregular border, pale centre, allergic reaction, hives

Nodule

raise solid lesion that stems deep in skin larger than 1cm, cysts.

Bulla

raised fluid filled, less than 1 cm, second degree burns

Telangiectasia

spider veins, small dilated blood vessels, blue or red, spread out in web like pattern, harmless, associated with liver disease, medication

Scale

thick, flaky skin layer. Eczema. Grey and silver in colour.

Lichen

thickening hardening of skin from itching or calloused. Atopic dermatitis.

Keloid

Raised scars. Overgrowth of collagen. Red paper flesh coloured, extend beyond wound boundary. Reoccurring, painful itchy.

Scar

left over healed injury, flat or raised.

Excoriation

superficial erosion or scratch of skin, red enflamed, secondary infection.

Fissure

crack or split in skin, dryness or trauma, eczema, bleeding.

Erosion

shallow loss of epidermis not penetrate dermis, moist, painful.

Ulcer

deeper loss of skin into dermis and hypodermis, infection or trauma. Painful long time to heal.

Atrophy

thinning of skin due to loss of skin cells, loss of collagen or fibrin fibers. Translucent, fragile. Aging, topical steroids.
