a pulley with a mass on the end a string going across a wooden bridge passing through a vibration transducer and signal generator
the signal generator allows to
generate specific vibration frequency
at the correct frequency
there will be a standing wave due to resonance
to get wavelength
measure string from wooden bridge to vibration transducer
the wave speed doesn`t depend on wavelength or frequency but
length of string and amount of mass
if frequency is increased past a standing wave
half wavelengths will form
to calculate half wavelength wave length
measure same distance as before but this time divide by number of half wave lengths you have and multiply by 2
