Causality
A property that assumes an action-reaction relationship between two or more variables.
Etiology
The cause or origin of a disease or disorder.
Proximate Cause
An event that is immediately responsible for or closest to the observed effect.
Ultimate Cause
The first event without which the observed effect would never have happened.
Internal Locus of Control
The belief that one's life is under their own control.
External Locus of Control
The belief that one's life is controlled by external factors.
Public Policy
Policies that regulate human behaviour to minimize extreme behaviours and incentivize towards goals.
Epidemiology
The study of the frequency and distribution of a disorder in a population.
