Armoured Fighting Vehicles (AFV)
A combat vehicle protected by armour and armed with weapons.
Classified according to role.

Main Battle Tank
an all terrain AFV designed primarily to engage enemy forces by the use of direct fire n the frontal assault role.
Armoured Personnel Carriers
intended to carry infantry quickly and relatively safely to point where they are deployed.
Infantry Fighting Vehicle
an armoured personnel carrier which can provide significant fire support.
Reconnaissance vehicles
also known as a scout vehicle, is a military vehicle used for forward reconnaissance.

Pintle Mount
a fixed mount that allows the gun to be freely traversed and/or elevated whilst keeping the gun in one fixed position.
Bore evacuator
Helps prevent poisonous propellant gases from venting back into the vehicle's fighting compartment when the gun breech is opened to load another round.
Thermal sleeve
Prevents the gun barrel from being thermally distorted due to environmental conditions, especially when the barrel is already hot due to frequent firing.
Muzzle Reference System
Measures thermal distortion (droop & bend) in the barrel so that the ballistic computer can make a correction.
