  1. Work on a canvas

  2. Build on a board - covered in wet paper towels so it dont stick

  3. Wrap project in wet paper towels for storing

  4. Put board in a plastic bag, then spray the outside with water

Slipping & Scoring

Used to attach pieces to other clay. You confuse platelets by scratching both of the surfaces with a serrated metal rib. Then use slip to blend in the pieces together.

When do you refine

After you finish building you wait until the clay is in the leather hard stage or the green ware stage. This way you wont mess up the already smoothed out parts.
