Estrogen
A powerful build and energize hormone produced during the first half of the menstrual cycle that matures an egg, improves insulin sensitivity, and boosts dopamine in the brain.
Progesterone
A rest and prepare hormone produced by the empty follicle after an egg is released, which thickens the uterine lining and alters metabolism by causing mild insulin resistance.
Day 14
The specific day in a standard 28-day timeline when peak hormone efficiency drops, an egg is released, and hormone production switches from estrogen to progesterone.
Mild insulin resistance
A physical metabolic change caused by rising progesterone during the resting phase, leading to carb cravings and energy crashes in the week before a period.
Dopamine
A brain chemical boosted by the rising estrogen curve during the first half of the cycle, contributing to sharp focus and stable energy.
