What is context in terms of engineering?
the place or setting where any product is used or who, when and why the product is used
What are the 2 things to consider when making a product?
The users needs and wants
What are user needs?
requirements that don't require a marketing push, the customer wants it
What are user wants?
dependent on the needs, additional features for ease
What is a key stakeholder?
A subset of the project stakeholders that are in a decision making position.
What is a wider stakeholder?
stakeholders with less power to change the decision
What are some examples of stakeholders?
shareholders, employees, customers, investors, and managers
What is a persona?
a person acting as a stakeholder
What is invention?
creating or making up something new
What is marketing?
the process a company uses to promote and sell its products to its customers
What is a quantitative observation?
An observation that includes a measurement or number
What are focus groups?
involves a group of people being asked questions on a particular topic.
What is user centered design?
Having the users in the redesigning stage so the product which is made will suit the users needs and goals and will be able to be used by all types of users.

requirement gathering, requirement specification, design, evaluation

understanding and specifying the context of use

specifying the user and organizational requirements

the system is easy to learn and efficient and satisfying to use
What is stakeholder analysis?
is the process of gathering/analyzing quantitative/qualitative information to determine whose interest should be taken care throughout the project
