Abdominal

Portion of trunk between the thorax (chest) and the pelvis (hips)

Antecubital

Inner/front surface of the forearm or elbow

Axillary

The area located between your chest and upper arm (armpit/underarm)

Brachial

Relating to the upper arm (Mostly above the elbow ending at the shoulder)

Buccal

Known as the oral cavity (mouth) also corresponds to the cheek

Calcaneal

Anything related to the calcaneus (heel bone) of the foot

Carpal

Refers to the wrist (carpus) connecting the hand to the forearm

Cephalic

Relating to the head or in the direction of the head

Cervical

Refers to the neck region (specifically the seven vertebrae) at the top of the spine that supports the head and protects spinal cord

Coxal

Relating to the hips (pelvis) on the posterior side

Digital

Refers to fingers and toes

Femoral

Relating to the femur (thigh)

Gluteal

Refers to the buttox area

Inguinal

The area located at the junction between the lower anterior abdominal wall and the thigh (groin)

Lumbar

Refers to the lower back region of the torso

Nasal

Refers to the nose or nasal cavity

Occipital

Refers to the back of the head

Olecranal

The long curve on the end of the ulna (back of elbow)

Oral

Oral cavity is the space in the lower part of the head located anterior to the nasal cavities and posterior to the lips

Orbital

Refers to the bony cavity of the skull that houses the eye and its associated structures

Patellar

Commonly known as the area around the kneecap

Pelvic

Refers to anything by the pelvis (hip bone) which connects the trunk to the legs and supports organs

Popliteal

Refers to the back part of the knee that dips in

Sacral

Refers to anything around the sacrum (a large bone at the base of the spine) which forms the posterior wall of the plevis

Scapular

Refers to the shoulder blades (scapula) on the back of sholders

Sternal

Refers to anything related to the sternum (the flat bone at the center of the chest)

Tarsal

Refers to anything around the ankle, specifically the small bones that make it up and some of the foot

Thoracic

The upper part of the trunk between the neck and abdomen

Umbilical

Refers to anything around the navel or belly button

Vertebral

Refers to anything related to the vertebrae, the bones that make up the spine
