Linear Function Domain
The domain of a linear function, such as x−1, which is (−∞,∞).
Quadratic Function Domain
The domain of a quadratic function, such as x2+3, which is (−∞,∞).
Cubic Function Domain
The domain of a cubic function, such as x3+3, which is (−∞,∞).
Rational Function Domain
The domain restriction for rational functions, such as x1 or x+32, requiring that the denominator does not equal zero.
Radical Function (Even Roots) Domain
The domain restriction for even root radical functions, such as x, x+2, or x−4, requiring that the expression inside the square root is greater than or equal to zero.
Cube Root Function Domain
The domain of a cube root function, such as 3x, which is (−∞,∞).
Absolute Value Function Domain
The domain of an absolute value function, such as ∣x∣, which is (−∞,∞).
