Neuropharmacology
The study of drugs that alter processes controlled by the nervous system.
Categories of Neuropharmacologic Agents
The two broad categories of neuropharmacologic drugs: peripheral nervous system drugs and central nervous system drugs.
Conditions Treated by Neuropharmacologic Drugs
Therapeutic applications ranging from depression and epilepsy to hypertension and asthma.

Subdivisions of the Nervous System
The structural organization consisting of the Central Nervous System and Peripheral Nervous System, where the Peripheral Nervous System branches into the Somatic Nervous System and Autonomic Nervous System, and the Autonomic Nervous System divides into the Sympathetic and Parasympathetic Nervous Systems.
Basic Mechanisms of Neuropharmacologic Agents
The foundational topics of drug action including axonal conduction, synaptic transmission, receptor types and selectivity of drug action, and peripheral nervous symptom drugs.

One of the primary mechanisms by which neuropharmacologic agents alter neuronal communication across synapses.
