To complete the square irrationally
-Subtract last number
-Divide the Aye to each part
-Find C: (1/2 times b) squared
-Add C to both sides
-Square root both sides and for fraction side square root the numerator and denominator don’t forget ±
-Solve for both ± and put in commas
To find vertex:
Vertex is parenthesis your equation of axis comma you plugging the equation of axis in your equation to get both numbers
To find line of symmetry:
Put x = what your equation of axis equals
If a is negative put maximum, if a is positive put minimum.
To find the number to put in, plug your equation of axis into original equation or just look at second number in vertex.
To find x-intercepts
Solve the quadratic formula and put both points for ±
To find the y-intercept
Plug zero in for x and solve for y
To find the equation of axis
Put negative b over 2a
To find C
Put parenthesis one half times b parenthesis squared
