Research control
A concept in planning rigorous research that involves addressing confounding or extraneous variables.
Gatekeepers
Community leaders, administrators, or staff whose cooperation is essential to allow a site to be used for a research project.
Cross-sectional designs
Research designs where data are collected once comparing cohorts.
Longitudinal designs
Research designs where data are collected over an extended period, including trend, panel, follow-up, and cohort studies.
