When can you revalidate a medical certificate?
Up to 45 days before expiry date and you’ll keep that expiry date.
What are you responsible for making sure your licence is?
Issued in accordance with (EU) 2015/340

Before exercising the privileges of their licence an ATCO must ensure they have?
Minimum current language endorsement of level 4.
Hold a current medical certificate.
Hold relevant rating(s).
Hold relevant rating endorsement.
Hold relevant unit endorsements.
When coming to work ATCOs must ensure that they?
Are not fatigued in a way which may effect safety.
Are not under the influence of any psychoactive substance.
Are not suffering from any illness which may effect safety.
Are not distracted dure to personal circumstances.
Comply with the Fatigue risk management policy such as NATS rostering.
What details do the CAA maintain for licence holders?
Full name
Date and place of birth
Nationality
Residential address
Address of unit.
What must ATCOs do to remain valid?
Revalidate unit endorsement before it expires
Complete ATCO refresher training.
Complete minimum number of hours defined by the Unit competency scheme.
Have a valid medical.
Valid language proficiency.
When can revalidation be done?
3 months before the Unit endorsement expires.
What will need doing if the unit endorsement expries?
It will need to be renewed and the ATCO will return to the training system (unit endorsement course)
What does ART consist of?
ABES
Human factors training including stress and fatigue.
Standard practices and procedures training
Fallbacks.
What is provisional inability?
Temporary state in which the licence holder is prevented from exercising the privileges of the licence, when having doubts of being able to safely exercise the privileges of the licence, when ratings, endorsements and medical certificates are valid.
Who can declare provisional inability?
ATCO, supervisor or manager.
What happens approximately 1 month after the issue of Unit endorsement?
Member of UCA team will have a discussion with the individual to provide support. It will include:

What happens approximately 3 months after issue of UE?
A meeting which provides opportunity for controller to raise any concerns they might have and gain feedback on their performance.

Required to undertake DPA and oral exam.
