Operating profit, EBIT?

OP generally thought of as profit before financing and government costs - similar to EBIT, but small difference

EBIT take off non-recurring (e.g. litigation), non-core (selling of subsidiaries), non-controlled (stake in small businesses) expenses

Then you get OP

Also, some companies might have different depreciation timelines which affects their OPs, so you may want to add back DA to get EBITDA from EBIT
