Geocentric

The idea that the sun, moon, and all planets revolved around the earth.

Heliocentric

The idea that the earth and the planets revolve around the sun

Belief that reason is the source of knowledge

A procedure for collecting/analyzing evidence

Empiricism

The theory that says that knowledge is achieved through observation

Monarch

A person who rules (reigns) over a kingdom or empire, for example a king or queen

To provide a good reason for something or to prove or show something to be right or reasonable

Centralized Power

A government in which all decision making and law making power is concentrated in one institution or person

A form of government in which the king has total power over his people

When a king or queen claims that God has chosen them and that they are His representatives on Earth
