Mean
The average of a set of numbers, calculated by dividing the sum of all values by the number of values.
Median
The middle value in a set of numbers when they are arranged in order. If there is an even number of values, it is the average of the two middle values.
Mode
The value that appears most frequently in a data set.
Range
The difference between the highest and lowest values in a data set.
Standard deviation
A measure of the amount of variation or dispersion in a set of values.
Percentile rank
A measure indicating the value below which a given percentage of observations fall.
Skewness
A measure of the asymmetry of the distribution of values in a data set.
Correlation coefficient
A statistical measure that describes the direction and strength of a relationship between two variables.
Effect size
A quantitative measure of the magnitude of a phenomenon, often used to determine the practical significance of a result.
Statistical significance
A determination that a result is unlikely to have occurred by chance, often assessed using a p-value.
