Heterotrophy

Holozoic nutrition
A mode of nutrition characterized by first ingesting food and then digesting it.
Eukaryote
A cell or organism that possesses a well-defined nucleus.
Division of labour
The distribution of work or specific tasks among different cells in an organism.
Locomotion
The act of an organism changing its position.
Movement
The act of an organism changing its posture.
Unicellular organisms
Organisms such as Amoeba where all basic activities like digestion and reproduction are performed by a single cell.
Multicellular organisms
Organisms composed of many cells, such as Hydra (Coelenterata), which exhibit division of labour.
