Our Lady of the Cenacle (why is it called "the Cenacle"?)
"Our lady of the Cenacle" refers to Mary praying with the apostles in the Upper Room after Jesus' Ascension, which is why the title is used. The "cenacle" is the Upper Room in Jerusalem where Jesus celebrated the Last Supper, and where the apostles and Mary later gathered to await the Holy Spirit on Pentecost.
