sensory, conveys info to the CNS (part of PNS)
Efferent System
motor, conveys info to the CNS(part of PNS)
Somatic afferent fibers
deliver information from the skin, joints, skeletal muscles (superficial)
Visceral Afferent Fibers
deliver information from the visceral organs (stomach, liver, spleen, heart, bladder, etc)
Special Afferent Fibers
information from the organs of the head (sight, hearing, balance, taste, smell) NO touch
