Axis
A reference line used in graphs to represent values, typically the x-axis (horizontal) and y-axis (vertical).
Scale
The markings on the axes of a graph that indicate the values of the data points.
Plot
To mark or indicate a point on a graph corresponding to data values.
Bar graph
A visual representation of data using rectangular bars to show frequency or quantity.
Line graph
A graph that uses points connected by lines to represent showing changes over time.
Pie chart
A circular chart divided into segments representing parts of a whole.
Data set
A collection of related data points that can be represented graphically.
Trend
The general direction in which something is developing or changing.
Coordinate
A set of values that show an exact position in a graph, usually expressed in (x, y) format.
x-axis
The horizontal reference line in a graph that represents the independent variable or the input values.
y-axis
The vertical reference line in a graph that represents the dependent variable or the output values.
Pie chart
A circular chart divided into segments representing parts of a whole.
Bar graph
A visual representation of data using rectangular bars to show frequency or quantity.
Stem and leaf diagram
A method for displaying quantitative data, where each number is divided into a stem (the leading digit) and a leaf (the trailing digit) for easy interpretation of distribution.
Scatter plot
A graph that uses dots to represent the values obtained for two different variables; it shows the relationship between the variables.
