What is a prophet?
A prophet is a person chosen by God to speak His message, challenge injustice, and call people back to God
What is prophecy?
Prophecy is speaking God's truth through words and actions to promote justice, peace and faithfulness
What was the role of Old Testament prophets?
To speak God's message, call people back to God, warn against sin and injustice and give hope for God's promises
What characteristics make someone a prophet?
Courage, honest, faithful to God, speaks the truth and stands up for justice
What is a contemporary (modern-day) prophet?
Someone who speaks out against injustice and inspires positive change by living Gospel values
