Sediment
Solid rock material that is moved to a new location; eroded material.

What breaks down the Earth's surface?
water, waves, ice, wind, chemical reactions, temperature change and living things

What is the common order of rocks breaking down?
weathering, erosion, deposition

What are two examples of deposition?
beaches made from the ocean; soil formed in forests

What is eroded material?
sediment
