Diffuse

To spread or scatter light, gas, scents, or ideas widely over a large area.

Characteristics of Diffuse

Spread out, Not concentrated, No clear edge, Unfocused, and Evenly distributed.

Examples of Diffuse

Perfume, Food Coloring, Tea Bag, Soft Light, and Oxygen in Lunges.

Non-Examples of Diffuse

A spotlight, magnifying glass, laser beam, and localized pain (pain that stays in one area.)

Brigand

An armed thief or outlaw who belongs to a group and lives by robbing travelers in remote areas like mountains or forest.

Characteristics of a Brigand

Group-Oriented (Gangs), Remote Bases of Operation, and Ambush Tactics.

Examples of a Brigand

Robin Hood, Dick Turpin, and Ned Kelly.

Non-Examples of a Brigand

Police Officer, Judge, and Sheriff.

Dilemma

A hard choice between two or more options, where every choice has bad or unwanted results.

Characteristics of a Dilemma

Two or More Options, Mutually Exclusive Paths, Unsatisfactory or Balanced Outcomes.

Examples of a Dilemma

The Robin Hood Dilemma, the Whistleblower Dilemma, and The Trolley Dilemma.

Non-Examples of a Dilemma

A clear-cut choice, A simple preference, A technical problem, A single bad event, and An obligation.

Commandeer

To officially or forcibly take control of private property or a vehicle, usually for military or emergency use.

Characteristics of Commandeer

Authority Based, Compulsory, Compensation Requirement, and Temporary/Permanant.

Examples of Commandeer

Seizure, Hijack, Appropriation, Expropriation, Takeover, and Confiscation.

Non-Examples of Commandeer

Gift, Donate, Return, Purchase, and Borrow.

Predispose

To make someone or something more likely to behave, think in a specific way, or develop a certain condition.

Characteristics of Predispose

Increased Risk, Not Certainty, and Environmental Triggers.

Examples of Predispose

Medical, Psychological, and Behavioral.

Non-Examples of Predispose

Cure, Immunize, Prevent, Neutralize, and Deter.
