Organelle

细胞器 (xìbāoqì) A tiny structure inside a cell with a specific job, like the nucleus or vacuole.

Tissue

组织 (zǔzhī) A group of similar cells working together to perform a specific function.

Organ

器官 (qìguān) A group of different tissues working together for a particular function.

Organ System

器官系统 (qìguān xìtǒng) A group of organs working together to carry out a major body function.

Cell

细胞 (xìbāo) The basic structural, functional, and biological unit of all known living organisms. The smallest unit of life.

Organism

生物体 (shēngwùtǐ) / 个体 (gètǐ) A complete living thing, capable of carrying out all life processes, made up of organ systems (in multicellular organisms) or a single cell (in unicellular organisms).
