Spot plate
Also referred to as a well plate, it is used to perform small-scale chemical reactions.
forcepts
A handheld instrument used for grasping and holding small objects.
Weight boat
An open container used for weighing liquid or solid samples on a balance.
Watch glass
A circular concave piece of glass used as a surface to evaporate a liquid, to hold solids while being weighed, or as a cover for a beaker.
Funnel
A tube or pipe that is wide at the top and narrow at the bottom, used for guiding liquid or powder into a small opening.
microspatula
A very small tool used for handling tiny amounts of granular or powdered solids.
spatula
A tool with a broad, flat, flexible blade used to mix, spread, and lift material.
Beaker Tongs
Used to safely handle and move hot beakers.
Evaporating Dish
A piece of laboratory glassware used for the evaporation of solutions.
Bunson Burner
A common piece of laboratory equipment that produces a single open gas flame for heating, sterilization, and combustion.
Striker
A tool used to create a spark for lighting a gas burner.
Ring Clamp
A metal ring that connects to a ring stand to support equipment such as beakers or flasks.
Water Bottle
A squeeze bottle used to rinse various pieces of laboratory glassware with distilled water.
Wire gauze
A sheet of thin metal that has net-like patterns, placed on a ring clamp to support glassware during heating.
Stirring Rod
A long, thin glass rod used to mix chemicals and liquids.
Crucible tongs
Large pincers used for grasping and lifting a hot crucible or other hot objects.
Crucible and cover
A small container made of ceramic or metal used for heating substances to very high temperatures.
scoopula
A spatula-like scoop utensil used primarily to transfer solid chemicals.
Mortar & pestle
A set of two tools used to grind and mix substances into a fine powder.
Ring Stand
A metal rod attached to a heavy base, used to provide support for various clamps and equipment.
Test tube clamp
A device used to hold a test tube securely to a ring stand.
beaker
A simple cylindrical container with a flat bottom, such as the KIMAX NO. 14000, used for stirring, mixing, and heating liquids.
Graduated cylinder
A piece of laboratory equipment used to measure the volume of a liquid accurately.
Erlenmeyer flask
A conical-shaped laboratory flask with a narrow neck and a flat bottom.
Test tube brushes
Tools designed for cleaning the inside of test tubes.
Test tube rack
A wooden or plastic holder used to keep multiple test tubes upright.
Test tube holder
A metal clamp-like tool used to hold a single test tube while heating or moving it.
Buret clamp
A specialized clamp used to attach a buret to a ring stand.
Spor PIATE
A variation of a well plate mentioned in the transcript used for small-scale testing.
balance
A measuring instrument for determining the mass of objects; specific model EJ-410 has a Max capacity of 410g and a precision of d=0.01g.
NaOH
A chemical substance (sodium hydroxide) identified in the laboratory notes.
