Who is Lucy? Who found her? Why is she significant?
Lucy was a hominid 3.2 million years ago. Her bones were found by archaeologist Donald Johanson. Her bones were the oldest hominid bones ever discovered, and also her bones were important evidence that humans had already walked upright, and that bipedalism came earlier than brain growth.

The Laetoli Footprints are a set of footprints 3.6 million years old. Mary Leaky and her husband Louis found them. They proved that ancestors of humans walked upright and lived in Africa, not Asia.
