Ex: Something fell through, so I was able to come back a few days early.

Fall off

1. Something becomes detached or separated from smth else. Ex: The painting fell of the wall.

2. When the amount, rate or quality is becoming slower or smaller. Ex: The company’s sales are starting to fall off.

Fall for

1. To develop romantic feelings for someone. I’m falling for him/her.

2. To be tricked or fooled by something. I fell for the oldest trick in the book.

Get over

To return to a normal state of health or happiness after a bad experience.

Get through

To survive finish an unpleasant experience
