Cerebellum
Controls balance, coordination and helps make movements smooth and accurate.
Cerebrum
Controls thinking, memory, learning and voluntary actions.
Iris
The coloured part of the eye that controls the size of the pupil.
Retina
Contains light-sensitive cells that detect light and convert it into nerve signals.
Optic nerve
Carries visual information from the retina to the brain so the brain can process what we see.
Lens
The part of the eye that focuses light onto the retina.
Brain stem
Section of the brain responsible for automatic functions.
Pupil
An opening that allows light into the eye; it gets smaller in bright sunlight to protect the retina.
Cornea
Part of the eye that protects and helps focus light.
Occipital lobe
The part of the brain that processes visual information.
Spinal cord
Helps carry messages between the brain and the body.
