A group of people within a society who possess the same socioeconomic status.
Social Class
A hierarchical structure in society, with social classes ranked in a strict manner, often as seen in India.
Caste System
The largest and most diverse group in society that generally provides the backbone of the economy.
Middle Class
The pseudoscientific idea that humankind is divided into separate and unequal races.
Racial Science
One's self-evaluation regarding their gender.
Gender Identity
A person who is attracted to both men and women.
Bisexual
The act of taking something for one’s own gain, usually without permission from the owner.
Appropriation
Behaviors or attitudes that reflect and foster the belief that one race is superior to another.
Racism
A person with no sexual attraction to any gender.
Asexual
Individuals who have sex organs or reproductive anatomy that doesn’t fit typical definitions of male or female.
Intersex
The combination of both male and female qualities or characteristics in identity or appearance.
Androgyny
Favoritism shown to friends and associates by those in power.
Cronyism
Favoritism shown to relatives or close friends by those in power.
Nepotism
A term for people whose gender identity differs from the sex they were assigned at birth.
Transgender
The unacknowledged or inappropriate adoption of the customs, practices, or ideas of one society by members of another society.
