Congruent angles

Two or more angles of equal measure.

Congruent triangles

Two triangles that have the same shape and size.

Translation

A function which takes as its input a set of pre-image points and outputs a set of image points.

Coordinate notation

Describes how the original coordinates of a point are changed into new coordinates after one or more transformations.

Reflection

A rigid motion that reflects, or "flips," a figure over a given line called a line of reflection.

Angle bisector

If a ray is drawn through the vertex of an angle and divides the angle into two angles of equal measure (two congruent angles), this ray is called an angle bisector.

Perpendicular bisector theorem

Any point on the perpendicular bisector of a segment is equidistant from the endpoints of that segment.

Angle of rotation

A directed angle based on a circle.

Rotation

A function that maps its input, a point, to another location by a specific rotation angle around a fixed point.

Central angle

An angle of a circle whose vertex is at the center of the circle.

Concentric circles

Circles with a common center point.
