Direct current (DC) voltage
A type of electric voltage that remains constant in value and in direction over time.
Rheostat
A resistor of adjustable resistance used to control the current in an electric circuit by changing its resistance.
Dry cell
An example of a source of DC voltage.
Vertical sensitivity (Sv)
An oscilloscope setting, given as Sv=5V/div in Exercise 1, used to calculate the value of measured voltage.
Weight (W)
One of the forces acting on an object, calculated using gravitational acceleration g=10N/kg.
