Mobility

a form of migration that covers all types of movement from one place to another

Migration

the permanent move to a new location

Circulation

Short term, repetitive, or cyclical movement that occurs on a regular basis, such as daily, monthly and annually

Emigration

Net migration

The difference between the number of immigrants and the number of emigrants

Net in-migration

a positive net migration when the number of immigrants exceeds the numbers of emigrants

Net out-migration

a negative net migration when the number of emigrants exceeds the number of immigrants.

International Migration

Voluntary Migration

where a migrant chose to move, mainly for economic reasons, but sometimes for environmental reasons

Forced migration

where a migrant is compelled to move by cultural or environmental factors

Internal Migration

a permanent move within the same country

Interregional migration

the movement from one region of a country to another
