Coarse hair; broad buffy line from nose to hind foot

Heteromyidae - Ord’s Kangroo Rat

Short neck and big head; long tail ends in tuft; white line across hips

no strong contrast between back, side and belly; nearly hairless tail with annulations (scales in rings)
