State the problem
The initial step of the scientific method, which involves asking a question.
Gather information
The step in the scientific process where research or data collection is conducted before forming a hypothesis.
Hypothesis
A possible explanation for a problem that is formulated to be tested.
Test the hypothesis
The stage of the scientific method where experiments or observations are conducted to see if the hypothesis is correct.
Analyze data
The process of examining information collected during the testing phase to identify outcomes.
Draw conclusions
The final step where a determination is made as to whether the hypothesis is supported or not supported.
Modify hypothesis
The process of changing the initial proposed explanation when the data does not support the original hypothesis.
Repeat several times
The instruction to perform the scientific process multiple times to ensure accuracy and consistency of results.
