Behavior Reduction Plan

Operational Definition
A specific observable measurable description of the target behavior.
Baseline Data
Data collected before intervention to determine current behavior levels.
Function of Behavior
The reason a behavior occurs based on consequences maintaining it.
Replacement Behavior
A socially appropriate behavior that serves the same function as the problem behavior.
Incompatible Behavior
A behavior that cannot occur at the same time as the problem behavior.
Sensory/Automatic
Behavior reinforced by internal stimulation.
Escape/Avoidance
Behavior reinforced by removing or avoiding demands.
Attention
Behavior reinforced by gaining social interaction.
Tangible/Access
Behavior reinforced by obtaining items or activities.
Automatic Positive
Behavior adds sensory stimulation and increases future behavior.
Automatic Negative
Behavior removes sensory discomfort and increases future behavior.
