Stateless Nation
A national group that is spread throughout two or more countries and is not the majority in any of those countries.
Nation‐State
A national group whose national/ethnic borders are nearly identical to the borders of the country in which they reside.
Bi‐national State
A single country that is home to two distinct nations/national groups.
Multi‐state Nation
A national group that is spread throughout two or more countries and is the majority in one or more of those countries.
Multi‐national State
